Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Arts
Universitas Negeri Jakarta
Welcome to the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. It is the home we produces qualified graduates since 1985 (under the name of Fakultas Pendidikan Bahasa dan Seni (FPBS) — Faculty of Languages and Arts Education). In 1995, FPBS then transformed itself into Faculty of Languages and Arts due to a wider mandate from the government. This then led to our societal contribution in producing education and non-education graduates. We now have seven Bachelor Language Education Programs (Indonesian Language and Literature Program, English Language Education, Arabic Language Education Program, German Language Education, French Language Education, Japanese Language Education Program, and Chinese Language Education Program), three Art Bachelor Programs (Visual Arts Program, Music Education Program, Dance Education Program), two non-Education Bachelor programs (English Literature Program and Indonesian Literature Program), and four Master Programs (English Language Master Program, Indonesian Language Education Master Program, Arabic Language Education Master Program, Art Education Master Program).
We strive to become a leading faculty as a center of excellence in Southeast Asia in the fields of education, language, literature, and the arts by producing graduates with noble character, critical thinking skills, collaborative abilities, communicative skills, and creativity.
We welcome you with open arms.
In 2035, FBS will become an outstanding faculty as a center of excellence in Southeast Asia in the fields of education, language, literature, and the arts by producing graduates with noble character, critical thinking skills, collaborative abilities, communicative skills, and creativity.
To achieve the above-mentioned vision, FBS UNJ has established the following mission:
