The issue of a shortage of educational personnel at all levels and types of educational institutions in Indonesia has been addressed by the government through various teacher education courses. Around the 1950s, educational institutions such as B-I, B-II, and PGSLP were established to prepare teachers for secondary schools. Subsequently, the government’s efforts included establishing Teacher Education Colleges (PTPG) through Ministerial Decree No. 382/Kab in 1954. These institutions were later integrated into a single educational entity through several stages. In 1957, PTPG was integrated into the Faculty of Education at the nearest university. In 1963, the Ministry of Basic Education established the Teacher Training Institute (IPG) to produce teachers for secondary schools. On February 8, 1961, Courses B-I and B-II were integrated into the Faculty of Education under the Ministry of Higher Education. Later on, Courses B-I and B-II in Jakarta
